COMBINED CERTIFICATE IN TOURISM & HOSPITALITY MANAGEMENT

Introductory Certificate is an open access qualification that is assessed by a written project and a multiple choice on-line examination.

Who is it for?

The OTHM Combined Certificate is suitable for students wishing to gain OTHM Introductory Certificate & Certificate.

This qualification will help team leaders and supervisors and those who want to rise to the first tier of management.

 

What will I study?

This qualification is comprised of two sections.

Part 1
Project covering:

• The global tourism and hospitality supply chain
• The structure of the hospitality industry
• Principles of customer service in tourism and hospitality
• Ecological, cultural and other factors and their effects on the industry
• Ecological, cultural and other factors and their effects on the industry
• Ways of promoting culture through tourism and hospitality
• Compare countries involved in sustainable cultural and ecological tourism
• Job opportunities in the tourism and hospitality industry – their entry requirements and progression routes

Part 2
Subjects:

• Introduction to Travel, Tourism and Hospitality
• Introduction to Business Environment
• Introduction to Business Communication and Customer Care
• Introduction to Business and Finance

How long is the course?

12 months (1 year)

What is the qualification?

OTHM COMBINED CERTIFICATE IN TOURISM & HOSPITALITY MANAGEMENT

What are the entry requirements?

• Holders of OTHM Introductory Certificate,
• 5 GCSE’s or 5 O’Levels or equivalent
• Mature students with at least 5 years relevant experience
• Any of the above plus English Language Competency (IELT Level 5)

Candidates who are successful at this level will be eligible for the Diploma level
