HEALTH AND SOCIAL CARE NVQ LEVEL 2

Who is it for?

This course is suitable for students who wish to pursue a career in the area of care. NVQ Level 2 is equivalent to 4 GCSE’s at grade C. There are four mandatory two optional units.

What will I study?

Mandatory Units:

• Communicate with, and complete records for individuals
• Support the health and safety of yourself and individuals
• Develop your knowledge and practice
• Ensure your own actions support the care, protection and wellbeing of individuals

Optional Units:

• Help individuals to eat and drink
• Support individuals with their personal care needs NVQs help students to decide on the client group and the area in which they would like to study.

How long is the course?

6-12 months

What is the qualification?

City & Guilds NVQ Health and Social Care Level 2

What are the entry requirements?

No formal qualifications required. Relevant work experience will be considered.
