NVQ LEVEL 3 IN HAIRDRESSING & MANAGEMENT

Who is it for?

This is the advanced level that covers the advanced approach to technical hairdressing services inclusive of management training this level prepares candidates for senior stylist/ management positions.

What will I study?

Topics covered include:

• Improving clients services
• Advanced fashion hair cutting drying and styling
• Fashion colouring, perming and relaxing techniques
• Creative hairstyling techniques and contribute to:
• Training & assessing
• Financial management
• Maintenance of salon health & hygiene
• Promotional activity
• Team work & development

How long is the course?

18-24 months

What is the qualification?

City & Guilds NVQ IN HAIRDRESSING LEVEL 3

What are the entry requirements?

4 GCSEs at grade C or above including Mathematics and English Language and or level 2 certification.

What can I do next?

On completion of level 3 there is a possibility of progressing on to a foundation degree (level 4) in salon management or to pursue a career as a hairdressing technician, lecturer, assessor (City & Guilds A1), external verifier (City & Guilds V1) or journalist.
