NVQ LEVEL 1 IN HAIRDRESSING & MANAGEMENT

Who is it for?

This level is suitable for trainees, assistants or those wishing to begin training with no prior experience.

What will I study?

Topics covered include:

• Shampooing, conditioning and drying hair
• Salon reception duties
• Health and safety and bylaws
• Perming, relaxing and colouring hair

Candidates will study five core units and one optional unit. The choice of optional units focuses on providing assistance to stylists on colouring and perming services.

Candidates will also study Health and Safety requirements and Bylaws.

9-12 months

What are the entry requirements?

No formal qualifications required to register provided applicants are aged 16 or over with good level of English speaking skills.
