Faculty

The backgrounds of teaching and administrative staff of City-LBC is best described as diverse which we believe enriches the learning experience at the College. Typically our tutors are well qualified and able to draw on practical experience to bring the theoretical to life. This is supported by a dedicated administrative team who strive to achieve their goals of Professionalism, Quality and Service. Below are the details of some senior Tutors and Administrative Managers who you are sure to meet at the College.

Mr Osei Kwateng - Principal

Mr Osei Kwateng established City of London Business College in 1990 following a long and successful career within banking and financial services.

Through an unflinching dedication to quality the College has gained a reputation for high standards which has in turn resulted in Accreditation by the British Accreditation Council (BAC) and centre approval from awarding bodies like OCR, City and Guilds, OTHM, IMIS, ABE and OCN amongst others.

In November 2007, Osei set up the Ghana Campus in Adenta, Accra for City of London Business College. This campus is based on similar themes as London of Business, Health and IT training.

Mr Eric Agyemang – Director of Academic, Professional Studies & Quality Assurance

Eric’s academic background includes BSc (Hons) Business Administration (University of Ghana), MA Marketing Management (Middlesex University), PGCE Teaching qualification (Huddersfield University). Eric also authored “The Business Operating Environment in the United Kingdom” (2001).

Eric is currently responsible for Management of Business, IT and Teaching Schools. Further responsibilities include; management of internal Quality systems; liaison with external awarding bodies; curriculum development and management; monitoring, observation and development of Teaching staff.

Mrs Nana Wulff – Director of Health & Vocational Studies

A Qualified Further Education teacher and assessor with over 13 years experience & Qualifications in Hairdressing & Cosmetology Industry. A BSc Nutrition graduate from Westminster University Nana Joined City-LBC in October 2000. Nana became Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) qualified in 2008 and is currently enrolled on the A1 Assessor programme.

Nana became a Director in September 2008 overseeing delivery of the College’s Health and Vocational programmes.

Mr Ernest Kwateng – Director of Operations

An economics graduate from Kingston University, Ernest joined City-LBC in October 2004 following seven years at city-based consultancies. Reporting to the Principal, current responsibilities focus on management of the Operational functions within the College including, Accounts, Recruitment, HR, Marketing and Administration.

Ernest has recently overseen the development of higher education collaborative agreements with the University of Sunderland and RDI/University of Wales.

Dr. Fred A. Yamoah – Team Leader for Business

Fred has served in various capacities as an academic, FE College manager, marketing consultant, professional teacher, curriculum developer and public speaker. He holds BSc (Hons) degree, Diploma in Education, Post graduate diploma in Management, MBA in marketing, DBA in International marketing, Level 1 Certificate in Immigration advice and support, a member of Chartered Institute of Marketing and a member of the General Teachers Council, Scotland.

Fred has also curriculum development experience. He served as a team leader for Pre-Masters Business Management Programme which has been approved by University of Sunderland Panel and a panel member for The Open College Network (North and East London and Hertfordshire for Access to Higher Education Course for City-LBC for the panel meeting on 23rd June 2004.

Fred is currently responsible for coordinating delivery of Accountancy, Business Management and Tourism & Hospitality Management (OTHM) programmes.

Mrs Stephania Idowu – Team Leader for Health and Social Care

Having joined City-LBC as a student in 2001, Stephania has enjoyed a rapid rise and became a member of the management team in September 2008. Her qualifications include; Level three Certificate for Adult literacy/ESOL subject support; Level 4 Certificate in Further Education Teaching – Stage 1 & Stage 2; VI Award in Health and Social Care; A1 Award in Health and Social Care, NVQ LEVEL 2 & 3 in Health and Social Care.

Stephania’s teaching career actually spans 27 years and she is currently responsible for coordinating delivery and assessment of Health and Social Care programmes as Team Leader.

Mr Pravin Shah - Team Leader for Pre-Masters in Business Management

A 15-year background of providing teaching to a diverse range of students at all levels for both academic and vocational programmes. After an initial concentration on GNVQ and AVCE Business Studies and Accounting courses Pravin moved on to focus on A and HND level teaching in 2001. Pravin has consistently achieved high retention and success rates by providing supportive environments for his students.

Pravin can be credited with a central role in the recent curriculum development and subsequent validation by the University of Sunderland of City-LBC’s Pre-Masters course. He is currently responsible for coordinating delivery of the Pre Masters in Business Management programme.

Julie Simons Internal Verifier, Lecturer, Tutor, Practice Educator

Julie’s academic background includes Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology, (Philippine Women’s University) who also became a UK Registered Nurse, (Homerton School of Health Studies in Cambridge). She qualified as a teacher, at Anglia Ruskin University in Cambridge (BA ED, Hons, Cert Ed, FETC,) where she also gained her Management Qualification in the same university (PG CiM, NVQ Level 4, Institute of Management). With the introduction of NVQ qualification in UK, Julie took interest and also qualified as a Work Based Assessor and Internal Verifier, (with City and Guilds). 

At CLBC, Julie is currently responsible for Internal Verification of NVQ Level IV, III, and II in Health and Social Care and OCR, Diploma in Health and Social Care. Externally she has been involved in curriculum Development and the NMC validation of the Adaptation Programme, at Anglia Ruskin University where she was an associate lecturer for the Diploma in Operating Department Practice.
