The BTEC Nationals for IT Practitioners have been developed in the IT sector to focus on education and training for IT employees, providing opportunities for IT employees to achieve a nationally recognized Level 3 vocationally specific qualification
The Edexcel Level 3 BTEC National Award for IT Practitioners consists of two core units plus four specialist units that provide for a combined total of 360 guided learning hours (GLH) for the completed qualification.

Level 3 BTEC National Award for IT Practitioners
Candidates would normally be required to have completed the Level two IT Practitioners Award/Certificate. Mature learners without formal qualification but, with work experience in the IT sector are also eligible for the programme.
